Rajat Sarkar is an engineer by training, musician by passion, and mentor by choice. With a Bachelor of Engineering and an MBA, Rajat led a successful 34-year corporate career—18 years in India and 15 years abroad—culminating as a Global Business Head.

But music was always his first love.

A classically trained violinist with certification from Trinity College London, and a dedicated Bansuri (Indian flute) player for over 25 years, Rajat has performed on both national and international stages. He has collaborated with renowned Indian and Bengali artists and composed and produced an original album—writing, composing, and arranging every track.

With 30+ years of violin and 25+ years of flute experience, Rajat has spent the last decade passionately teaching both instruments to students across all age groups. He specializes in guiding first-time learners, including children and elderly adults, helping them reconnect with long-lost musical dreams through warm, personalized instruction.

At Art Gharana, Rajat leads online violin and flute classes, combining classical structure with heartfelt expression. His teaching goes beyond notes and techniques—it's about helping students find their rhythm, voice, and joy in music.
