Rohan George Zachariah is a seasoned drummer, educator, and session artist who brings together technical excellence, global experience, and a deep passion for mentorship. With over 15 years of teaching and performing experience, he has shaped the musical journeys of over 100 students worldwide—helping them succeed in Trinity and Rockschool graded exams and discover their own groove.

Rohan began his drumming journey at age 12 and by 17 was already guiding fellow musicians. He holds Trinity Rock & Pop Grade 5 and Grade 8 certificates with distinction, and has played with multiple bands across Chennai, performing at top venues including Hard Rock Café in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

Determined to refine his craft, Rohan earned an Associate of Arts in Drums from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, with a combined focus in Music Business. His time in the U.S. saw him touring with Nashville-based country band Dale Justice and the Grand River Company, and recording as a session drummer for artists and producers in Hollywood and Nashville. His musical toolkit includes keyboard, guitar, ear training, music theory, and production.

At Art Gharana, Rohan now offers online drum classes focused on foundation, groove, musicality, and performance excellence. His teaching approach balances structure with creativity—and his motto remains: “It’s not how fast you can play, it’s how well you can play what you’ve learned.”
