Sayanti Dutta

An engineer turned artist, Sayanti is an avid follower of Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. She specializes in the contemporary, impressionist, and cubist genre of art.

Sayanti goes around with a bag full of stories. One look at her and you can see a twinkle in her eye, stories waiting to jump out. But, like most storytellers she does not gather an audience to narrate them. She splashes them onto her canvas, with colours as vibrant as life itself.
With her expertise in portrait making in contemporary and realistic style, she understands life with an insight extraordinary. When life circumstances compelled her to distance herself from her art, survival became tough, and she kept feeling a void. Brave as she is, quitting her full time job and immersing herself entirely into painting changed her life forever.
The joy that the smell of fresh paint on a canvas brings to her is unmatched. From painting in school as hobby to finally taking it up as a profession, Sayanti’s tryst with art is nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. Teaching art to learners from different parts of the world, with different ethnicity and age groups, Sayanti’s days are filled with colours. Colours on canvas and that of life. Her spirit makes you want to jump with excitement as she confesses to being a lifelong learner.
