Hemant Singh

A graduate of Bundelkhand University in Jhansi, Hemant is in his fifth year in vocals from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. He has a four year diploma in keyboard and guitar.

A trainer at Raghuvansh music academy, Smt. Siddheshwari Devi music academy, and Anunaad music academy, Hemant is also an avid learner. Back in 2017 when he performed at the Surganga Mahotsav in Varanasi, he knew that his life wouldn’t be complete without music.
Hemant breathes music. Times when he is not rehearsing or performing, he delves deeper into the world of music, listening to songs, pointing out the instruments played, the voice textures used in the vocals, the voice modulations and the list goes on endlessly.
He stumbled upon music as a kid when his father suggested he learn some form of music for better concentration in studies. A nine year old boy’s journey from an attempt to learn the guitar to learning Indian classical music, to semi-classical and finally to Western music continues as he goes on to explore music in its depths each day of his life.
Hemant looks up to stalwarts like A R Rehman, Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Yiannis Chryssomallis and dreams of making it big in the world of music, as his entire family awaits the day when this dream finally comes true.
Rehearsing through the day, teaching his kids, jamming and performing with his band, Hemant’s day begins with music and ends with it.
